The Last Meeting of the First Stage of the 8th Stream of Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders was held
The Last Meeting of the First Stage of the 8th Stream of Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders was held on 6 October. The meeting was held in two formats face to face and on-line for the representatives of regions.
The students discussed
- the integrity institute in the public and private sectors,
- whistleblowing system and electronic tools,
- the institute of beneficial (real) owners,
- public procurement and public finance management topics.
During the discussion about the integrity institute in the field of public service, the participants emphasized its contribution to the activity of all entities of the private sector, the procedures for the implementation of public procurement, their varieties, the corruption risks existing in it, as well as the existing and developed ways of neutralizing them.
Anti-corruption expert Syuzanna Soghomonyan presented to the listeners all the problems that arose during the adoption of the draft law “On the Whistleblowing System” and the initial stage of the introduction of that institution, its applicability and effectiveness in publicizing and revealing corruption crimes.
She also presented to the listeners the existing legislative reforms related to the institute of beneficial (real) owners. namely, the mandatory requirement of beneficial owner information by legal entities during registration of the organization and the submission of annual declarations on beneficial owners.
“The Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO is organizing the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders in cooperation with the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia.
