Students of the Basic College of ASUE Gyumri Branch showed Great Enthusiasm in the Issue of their Participation in the Fight against Corruption
On 7 July, 2020, the representative of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association held an online seminar with the students of the Basic College of the Armenian State University of Economics Gumri Branch, within the framework of the awareness-raising program of the “Youth4Anti-Corruption” project.
Ms Gayane Gevorgyan the Coordinator/Lawyer of the Shirak Regional Branch of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, welcomed the participants of the awareness seminar. She informed the participants that the RA Government has given a special role in the fight against corruption to anti-corruption education and awareness.
During the seminar, Ms Mariam Zakaryan, representative of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, presented the “Youth4Anti-Corruption” project. She answered the participants’ questions.
The students accepted with great enthusiasm the fact that they will have the opportunity to play a serious role in the fight against corruption. They also highlighted the fact of raising their awareness and participation in the fight against corruption, as well as dissemination of anti-corruption information and values in their environment. They were interested in how long anti-corruption education would last and how deeply they would be able to study it.
More than 23 students participated in the awareness seminar.
