Movses Aristakesyan and Hakob Avagyan will chair the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia during the next one year
On 9 December, the first session of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia chaired by Mr. Karen Zadoyan, the Coordinator of the Coalition Secretariat, was held.
Let’s remind that on 9 December, the 7th General Meeting of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the Coalition) was held online, during which the elections of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia were held.
As a result, the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia was formed with 7 members. The members of the board are:
- Mr. Arkady Sahakyan – Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises,
- Mr. Harutyun Aleksanyan – “Ellegia” cultural NGO
- Ms Mariam Chakhoyan “Tukhmanuk” Human Rights and Education Center” NGO
- Mr. Movses Aristakesyan – “Center for Economic Rights” NGO
- Mr. Hakob Avagyan – “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Cooperation Association” NGO
- Ms Arpine Hakobyan – “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO
- Mr. Karen Zadoyan, Armenian Lawyers’Association
Movses Aristakesyan, the President of the “Center for Economic Rights” NGO, self-nominated for the position of the Chairman of the coalition’s Governing Board, and Hakob Avagyan, adviser to the president of the “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Cooperation Association” NGO, was nominated for the same position by the President of the “Tukhmanuk” Human Rights and Education Center” NGO, Mariam Chakhoyan. As a result, the Governing Board.
- To elect Movses Aristakesyan, President of the “Center for Economic Rights” NGO, as the chairman of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, for the period from 9 December, 2022 to 8 June, 2023 (for a period of 6 months) ,
- To elect Hakob Avagyan adviser to the president of the “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Cooperation Association” NGO, as the chairman of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, for the period from 9 June, 2023 to 9 December, 2023 (for a period of 6 months).
Further the Governing Board decided to call a meeting of the Governing Board in the coming days in order to plan the upcoming activities of the Anti-corruption coalition.
