The CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia will continue the Anti-Corruption Fight in Armenia with New Endeavor: Movses Aristakesyan

The CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, guided by the image and values ​​of the future outlined in the declaration of its establishment and its mission, has carried out large-scale targeted activities aimed at the formation of institutional structures to fight corruption in Armenia, prevention of corruption, development of anti-corruption education and curbing corruption.

Mr. Movses Aristakesyan, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Coalition stated in an interview with Iravaban.net talking about the work done and the future plans.

He noted that the report of the structure was discussed during the 8th conference of the Coalition held on 8 December, 2023, by which the Governing Board of the Coalition elected continued its work.

At the first session of the Governing Board it elected the Chairman of the Board, and at the second session, which took place on 26 December 2023, the discussion of the most important draft documents for the implementation of the decisions taken during the conference took place during which the following was approved:

  1. The Strategic Plan 2024-2028 of CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia.
  2. Division of work among the members of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia,
  3. The procedure of voluntary donations to be made to the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia,
  4. The road map of constructive cooperation with other anti-corruption, state and local self-government bodies of RA.

According to Aristakesyan, the Governing Board, emphasizing the needs of the Coalition member organizations and other interested persons of the RA in the direction of anti-corruption training, approved the approved the text of the announcement regarding the organization of the course planned for January-February 2024.

“The Governing Board also approved the text of the message addressed to the member organizations of the Coalition, which specifically calls to:

  • continue the anti-corruption fight in Armenia with new endeavor,
  • aim the actions of the organizations at the strengthening and empowerment of the Anti-Corruption Coalition, increasing its role and reputation in the civil society,
  • within the framework of the mission of the organization, within the limits of possibilities and potential, actively contribute to the increase of the effectiveness of the fight against corruption in the Republic of Armenia,” he said.
