The Armenian Lawyers’ Association and Digital Armenia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
On 17 November, the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” and “Digital Armenia” NGOs signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
“We have finally decided to give a form of document to our cooperation, which has been going on for many years and we have very ambitious plans. We will try to implement them by joining our forces,” Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the ALA said.
The work in the areas of public administration, human rights, anti-corruption and judicial law, as well as in the field of digital rights, using innovative digital technologies will continue.
“The use of electronic tools has no alternative in our digital century, and ensures great efficiency, both in the effective functioning of state mechanisms and in the development of the society,” Mr. Suren Krmoyan, President of “Digital Armenia” NGO said.
The cooperation is aimed:
- to consolidate the collective efforts of civil society professional structures in the fields of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial and human rights for the objective of strategy development, its implementation, awareness, monitoring and evaluation,
- to support the improvement of the effectiveness of the reforms implemented in the fields of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial and human rights, through the use of the latest digital technologies and e-government tools, as well as the improvement of sectoral legislation,
- to increase the level of citizens’ awareness in the fields of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial and human rights, including digital rights.
The organizations will cooperate in the following directions and forms:
– to coordinate the works, positions and efforts of the Parties in coordination and work of the bodies formed from representatives of state-civil society organizations created in the fields of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial and human rights;
– to provide sectoral expert support to the state bodies responsible for reforms in the fields of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial and human rights, in the development of sectoral strategies, as well as the resulting structures and legal acts,
– to conduct awareness-raising activities on reforms implemented in the areas of public administration, the fight against corruption, the judicial system and human rights based on the latest digital technologies,
– to carry out alternative monitoring and evaluations of strategies and resulting reforms, actions and structures in the areas of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial and human rights, publish their alternative reports based on the latest digital technologies;
– to organize sectoral trainings, seminars, working discussions, conferences, conferences, schools and other professional events in the fields of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial and human rights, including digital rights,
– Launch the awareness project “Your Digital Rights” on the Iravaban.net website, develop and publicize innovative and accessible media products in the fields of public administration, anti-corruption, judicial, human rights, including digital rights, and implement sectoral campaigns
