Impact Assessment Processes of Legal Acts’ Expertise and Regulation and their Main Stages: The Distance Learning Course of the ACSYL was held

On 14 April, 2020, the regular distance learning course of the 5th stream of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders took place. The topic covered was, “Impact Assessment Processes of Legal Acts’ Expertise and Regulation and their Main Stages”. Artyom Mesropyan, Lawyer/Coordinator of the CSO Development Programs of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association presented the topic.

Within the framework of the training, the lecturer presented the types of legal acts and their hierarchy, the process of conducting expert examination of legal acts, checking the compliance of draft legal acts with Constitutional principles, in particular legality, legal certainty and proportionality, reserved in it, as well as with the requirements for draft legal acts under the “RA Law on Normative Legal Acts”.

The lecturer also presented the process of assessing the impact of the regulation of draft legal acts and the main sectoral directions, within the framework of which the analysis of possible changes as a result of the adoption of the legal act is carried out.
