ACSYL Students discussed 2019-2022 Anti-Corruption Strategy and its Implementation Action Plan
On 16 April, 2020, the regular distance learning course of the 5th stream of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders took place. The topic of the course was the 2019-2022 Anti-Corruption Strategy and its Implementation Action Plan. Ms Suzanna Soghomonyan, a Lawyer/Anti-Corruption Expert at the Armenian Lawyers’ Association delivered the lecture.
The lecturer touched upon the important provisions of the 2019-2022 anti-corruption strategy. First of all, she presented the main objectives of the Anti-Corruption Strategy, as well as the issues set to achieve those goals. The main directions of the strategy and their targeted measures were presented as well.
She spoke about the centralized (universal (unified) body) and decentralized (separated) anti-corruption institutional bodies, noting the advantages of the centralized system and the disadvantages of the decentralized system.
During the training, the lecturer presented the general standards, which are typical of the anti-corruption institutional body, regardless of the choice of the model. She also referred to the anti-corruption strategic directions.
At the end of the training the listeners were assigned the next group task.
