Announcement: Online consulting for NGOs on the New Procedure of Annual Reports

According to a number of amendments made to the RA Law on Non-Governmental Organizations by the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia in 2019 and 2020, new procedures and conditions for the submission of annual reports by non-governmental organizations have been established.

Article 24 stipulates that in case of receiving the property of the non-governmental organization from public sources (sources of the state or local self-government bodies and other public administration bodies or legal entities), the non-governmental organization is obliged to publish a report provided by law every year before 30 May of the year following the reporting year on the website for the publication of reports by the organizations.

Article 26 of the same law stipulates the requirement to conduct a mandatory audit in case of receiving 10 million or more from public funds.

Based on the above said, the Armenian Lawyers’ Association (hereinafter referred to as ALA) plans to provide free legal advice online and by telephone to support non-governmental organizations operating in Yerevan and in the regions in order to raise awareness of exemplary annual reports, publication and submission procedures, terms and conditions.
