Arkady Sahakyan was elected Chairman of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia
On 24 December, 2021, the first meeting of the new composition of the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, chaired by Coordinator of the Coalition Secretariat Karen Zadoyan was held online.
It should be reminded that on 8, 9 and 10 December, 2021, the 6th Conference of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the Coalition) took place online and in person, during which the Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia the election of the Governing Board of the Coalition was organized as well.
As a result, the Governing Board of CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition was formed with 7 members.
- Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Lawyers’Association,
- Arkady Sahakyan – Lawyer at the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises,
- Arpine Hakobyan, President of “NGO Center” Civil Society Development NGO,
- Movses Aristakesyan, President of the “Center for Economic Rightrs ” NGO,
- Harutyun Aleksanyan – President of “Elegia” Cultural NGO,
- Mariam Chakhoyan – President of “Tukhmanuk” Human Rights and Education Center” NGO,
- Hayk Margaryan, Director of “Support for Equal Opportunities Foundation”.
Arkady Sahakyan, Lawyer at the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises, self-nominated for the position of the Chairman of the Governing Board of Coalition. By the unanimous decision of the members of the Governing Board, Arkady Sahakyan was elected Chairman of the Governing Board of the Coalition for a term of 6 months.
Further, the Governing Board of Coalition discussed the main directions of the Coalition’s activities for the coming year. The members of the Governing Board raised the issue of revising the Coalition’s Strategic Plan for 2019-2023; it was decided to revise it at the beginning of 2022 in order to adapt the strategic plan to the challenges facing Armenia, to increase the Coalition’s level of sovereignty and efficiency.

The Civil Society Organizations Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia was founded on 28 November, 2014. Currently, about 70 CSOs are members of the anti-corruption coalition.
The mission of the Anti-Corruption Coalition is to promote the eradication of corruption in Armenia by creating based on the personal example, the demand for good governance among the public at large and public servants, by introducing anti-corruption strategies in public and private institutions.
