Representatives of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia met with the Members of the Corruption Prevention Commission
Representatives of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, represented by the Coordinator of the Coalition Secretariat, the President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association Mr. Karen Zadoyan, the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Coalition, the President of the “Center for Economic Rights” NGO Mr. Movses Aristakesyan, were hosted at the Corruption Prevention Commission. Ms Mariam Galstyan, Acting as the Chairman of the Commission, members of the Commission Ms Lilit Aleksanyan and Mr. Aramais Pashinyan, representatives of structural divisions of the CPC received them.
Representatives of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition, members of the Governing Board of the Coalition Ms Armine Podosyan, President of the “Armenian UN Association” NGO, and Mr. Arkady Sahakyan, lawyer of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises, Experts of the Coalition Ms Syuzanna Soghomonyan and Mr. Marat Atovmyan, as well as the Coordinator of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders Ms Anahit Mardoyan participated in the working meeting as well.
During the working meeting, a number of issues arising from the RA Anti-Corruption Strategy and the Resulting Action Plan for 2023-2026 were discussed, aimed at the institutional strengthening of the Corruption Prevention Commission, including the improvement of the legislation and legal environment, the development of accountability and transparency, the strengthening the capacities and public trust. During the discussion, a special emphasis was placed on combining bilateral efforts in the fields of corruption prevention, anti-corruption education and public awareness in the public and private sectors.
The parties discussed issues of integrity, funding of the parties, code of conduct and other areas of mutual interest as well.
The representatives of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia and the members of the Corruption Prevention Commission agreed to further joint work and to further strengthen the cooperation between the structures as well as to bring the cooperation to the level of institutional bases and opportunities.
